Unlock Your Get-It-Done Power

A couple months ago, I was out of town for the weekend and when I got home I hit an emotional wall.

I felt blah.

I didn't want to unpack.

I didn't want to look at the mail.

I didn't want to deal with the upcoming week.

I wanted to go back to the fun weekend I'd had.

I wanted to eat and sleep. Or both.

I spent some time fighting what I was feeling; I took care of a few things because I "should", but that didn't make me feel any better.

I finally listened to my body and took a nap.

Unlock your power to get things done

Then I went out in my garden and watered the last of my pumpkins and cantaloupe.

Lastly I pulled out my yearbooks to look up an old friend from Jr. High that I ran into over the weekend!

My youngest daughter joined me on the couch with my yearbooks.

We talked for over an hour about my high school experiences and hers. It was pure joy.

She went off to bed and I fell asleep on the couch.

A few hours later I moved to my bed and slept well.

When I awoke, I felt like myself again!

As I reflected on how differently I felt, I realized peace came because I stopped fighting the state I was in and started accepting exactly where I was.

As you acknowledge and heal the parts of you that are hurting, your ability to go after what you really want will be unlocked! Even if those things are uncomfortable or challenging, when you feel safe and grounded, you're more likely to do them.

Pushing through and working faster won't last.

To-Do Lists can be overwhelming.

Beating yourself up can't motivate.

Connecting to yourself is healing.

Listening to your body will bring peace.

Releasing expectations allows for authenticity.

The power to unlock your abilities is not accomplished by pushing yourself harder.

The power comes through Self-Connection. Healing. Listening. Accepting. Releasing.

As the Holidays are approaching next week, use the above actions to align with what you really treasure during this time of year.

Accept More. Stress Less. Happy Holidays!

With love,

Meredith
